FAQ

Can your saunas be installed outside?

Our saunas are indoor units, though it is possible to install them outside so long as they are completely undercover and protected from the rain. Installation outdoors or in cold environments may impact heat retention and warm-up times. We strongly recommend installing indoors for optimum performance. If you’re unsure about your space, please get in touch and we can confirm if it will be suitable.

What are the power requirements for your saunas?

A standard 13 amp household power outlet is all you need. There is no need for three-phase power. Running costs for our saunas average just £0.39-£0.76 per hour, depending on the model.

Do you have showrooms where I can view a display sauna?

To keep the costs of our saunas down, we don’t have expensive showrooms in each city we operate in. We may have some floor models that can be viewed in our warehouses, and viewing may be able to be arranged by special request. If you have any questions at all, please reach out and we will love to help you however we can!

What’s the difference between the Core and Elite models?

Besides the physical appearance, the Elite model has two additional heaters lower down on the sides of the sauna which provides enhanced heating of the lower body. Compared to the Core, it also has superior finishing and is aimed more towards athletic and professional applications.

What are the dimensions of each model?

Core 1 Person sauna: At base - 90cm x 90cm x 190cm. At roof - 92cm x 105.5cm x 190cm (Width x Depth x Height).

Core 2 Person sauna: At base - 120cm x 105cm x 190cm. At roof - 122.5cm x 122cm x 190cm (Width x Depth x Height).

Core 3 Person sauna: At base - 150cm x 130cm x 190cm. At roof - 153.5cm x 136.5cm x 190cm (Width x Depth x Height).

Elite 1 Person sauna: 94cm x 92cm x 190cm (Width x Depth x Height).

Elite 2 Person sauna: 123cm x 106cm x 190cm (Width x Depth x Height).

Elite 3 Person sauna: 154cm x 122cm x 190cm (Width x Depth x Height).

Are your saunas infrared and full-spectrum?

We've actually discontinued the full spectrum range as after doing extensive research, we found Far infrared panels give more benefits. Full spectrum saunas usually emit higher EMF and are less efficient. They're also 90% Far most of the time, with only a little Mid and Near infrared emitted. Our saunas are now exclusively Far infrared, and you'll find the other brands will move in the same direction in the near future, with the new research emerging.

What are the lead times for sauna delivery?

We regularly sell-out of our incoming saunas ahead of time. Please see each product page for the most up to date lead times!

Does my address qualify for free delivery & installation?

We deliver and install your sauna for free within 60mi of Oldham, Manchester, and 40mi of Birmingham City Centre. Nook orders placed for addresses outside of this radius will be subject to a delivery fee, invoiced after the purchase has been made.

What type of wood do you use in your saunas?

We use 100% Canadian Hemlock for the construction of all our saunas. We do not use particle board or other woods within.

What type of glue do you use?

We use minimal glue, but any glue that is used is non-toxic.

What are the actual EMF readings on the saunas?

Our saunas are rated as “Ultra-low” (0-3mGs). This measurement is taken within an inch distance. Our manufacturer measures this and we also test independently, every shipment to ensure these readings.

What warranty do you offer for the saunas?

We have a 3 year warranty for parts and labour. If anything were to happen after the warranty period we would cover this at cost price. Our carbon panels are rated to last at least 50,000 hours!

Do you have any metal/fabric covers over the carbon panels in your saunas?

Our heater panels have fabric covers.

How long do your saunas take to warm up?

Warm-up time will vary depending on factors including where the sauna is installed, the time of year and ambient air temperature. Typically, warm-up takes 25-45 mins to reach max temperature, but we recommend hopping in anywhere from 45°C and above to make the most of the infrared benefits.

Are your saunas made in the UK?

Our saunas are designed in Australia and manufactured in Shanghai. We work closely with our team there to constantly tweak and upgrade our saunas to produce the best possible equipment for you to use.

The benefits of infrared saunas

  • Improved Circulation

Infrared heat increases blood flow, which can lead to better circulation, reduced blood pressure, and enhanced cardiovascular health.

  • Pain Relief

Some studies suggest that infrared saunas could provide relief from certain types of pain, such as musculoskeletal pain and arthritis. The heat may help relax muscles, reduce inflammation, and ease discomfort.

  • Stress Reduction

Like traditional saunas, infrared saunas promote relaxation and stress reduction. The heat and warmth help soothe both the body and mind, which can lead to reduced stress and improved overall well-being.

  • Improved Immune Function

Research suggests that infrared sauna use might have a positive impact on immune system function. Some studies have indicated potential increases in white blood cell counts, which play a role in immune response.

  • Detoxification

Sweating can aid in the elimination of toxins, heavy metals, and other waste products from the body.

  • Weight Loss

Some proponents of infrared saunas suggest that the increased heart rate and calorie expenditure associated with sauna use could contribute to weight loss.

  • Skin Health

Infrared saunas can improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity by promoting collagen production and cleansing pores.

  • Muscle performance & recovery

Heat energy from the sauna accelerates blood circulation and supplies more oxygen around the body. Increased blood flow reduces inflammation, relieves pain and promotes muscle recovery.

There are many more benefits you can read about, but remember that individual experiences may vary, and it's essential to use infrared saunas safely and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any underlying health conditions.
